Okokiss was born in August 2020, right in the midst of the global chaos brought on by the pandemic. Founder and designer Yvonne, like so many others, found herself suddenly stuck at home, feeling the weight of the world pressing down. As the fast-paced world slowed to a halt, Yvonne came to a stark realization: the most precious thing in life is the genuine connection between people. The love from her parents, the unwavering support from her partner, and the encouragement from her best friends helped her overcome the panic and fear that gripped everyone.

Yvonne decided to focus on her work to take her mind off the pandemic. Being a jewelry designer, she has been thinking starting her own business and wondered whether it was a good time to do that. She started doing some market research. To her pleasant surprise, it seems that the jewelry industry was brimmed with opportunities – so many brands were either pretending to be original with tired wholesaler designs or charging absurd prices for pieces that weren’t even worth half of what they claimed. Yvonne saw the need for change—and that’s when Okokiss was born.

Her mission? To create jewelry that doesn’t just sparkle on the outside but also carries a deeper message. Jewelry that inspires people to express their love and affection while there’s still time before it’s too late.
